I started my journey into photography in May 2017 having never owned a "real" camera before. Smartphone shots were all I've ever done. So, I had a Canon bought for my birthday, it's entry level and not the most expensive in the world but I love it and it helps me to capture some memories from my travels, besides which, I'm really enjoying myself going out about taking pictures and visiting new places from my home in Huddersfield. I'd like to go all around the British Isles but for now it's pretty much anything in line with or north of the M62 motorway and south of the Scottish border. I've visited some well known and some off the beaten track locations, but there's usually only a few criteria to meet and that's great views, nice walking and peaceful where possible, anything else is a bonus.
I hope others get enjoyment out of the pictures I post here and I'd be very interested in hearing any thoughts on them. As a novice and ex smartphone snapper, it would be really lovely and appreciated to receive feedback on my fledgling journey to making rather than just taking pictures.
