Photographer and videographer at the Crown Research Institute (CRI) called Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research, shooting science around biodiversity, biosecurity, our land and our environment.

I started as a press photographer for a number of publications before moving into video and multimedia eight years ago. Prior to this role I was the sole visual journalist at 'Checkpoint with John Campbell’, New Zealand's highest rated multimedia radio current affairs drive show.

I've spent several years filming on (and in) extreme locations, camping for weeks in trying conditions to get the perfect "money shot” and have rappelled and rigged inside active volcanoes. I’ve covered tornadoes, super typhoons, cyclones, extreme floodings, earthquakes, tsunami, fires and the most dangerous event of all…NZ politics…
