The Heather Pendergast Fund is a 501 (c) (3) non profit charity, with a mission to assist the children of volunteer firefighters & EMS, on Long Island, who face a life threatening illness or injury. The focus of the fund is medical expenses not covered by insurance, and travel expenses incurred receiving medical treatments. Since organized in 2009, this assistance has been provided for the children of 21 volunteer firefighters.
