No other company in the Milwaukee area is as focused and dedicated to working on old and historic homes; but this, in fact, is not what is most unique about us.

We've been working on the homes of the Eastside and near-North Shore for over 20 years now and approaching 18 under the “Community” name. Like many young carpenters setting off into the wily wooly world of contracting, we originally aspired only to build big additions and perform major remodeling jobs. Soon, however, we fell in love with the old homes of the area and their often-neglected details and connective tissue. With our growing crew I began taking on those jobs that no one else seemed to be willing to do (except during recessions) and then only half-halfheartedly. We decided to make this difficult, tedious, and demanding sort of restoration our specialty rather than leaving it to someone else’s afterthought.
