I am a research scientist, and I work in the field of genetic engineering and physiology of bacteria. The areas of my scientific interest are the mechanisms of gene expression in bacteria, the structure and functions of bacterial enzymes, the genomics of bacteria, and biotechnological application of bacteria. I work in the Research Institute for Genetics and Selection of Industrial Microorganisms in Moscow. For many years laboratories of the Institute are dealing with wide variety of microorganisms from soil, water etc. Cultures of these microorganisms, grown on agar plates, are presented on my photos placed here. I like to popularize science using photographs and texts. I will be glad to any dialog and offers of cooperation!
