Vasura Jayaweera is a Sri Lankan-born Wildlife photographer based in Ontario, Canada. He started his photography journey in 2015 as an event photographer while he was a freshman at the University of Colombo Sri Lanka. His passion for wildlife photography began with a field trip to Sinharaja rainforest where he was captivated by the incredible beauty and diversity of the tropical birds and butterflies of Sri Lanka. Now his photography is mainly focused on showcasing the beauty of the avian world.

Vasura is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Western University, Canada. His research is primarily focused on studying the Earth's atmosphere and its processes.
