My name is Alexis Rankin and I am a sophomore at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I started taking photos for the Michigan Daily as a freshman in October of 2016. Since then, I have worked in various positions on photo staff: staff photographer, senior photo editor, and summer managing photo editor. I am currently pursing the position of managing photo editor for the 2018 calendar year in which I will oversee a staff of over 30 photographers and the daily curation, editing, and placement of photos in both print and online editions of the Michigan Daily.

Since shooting my first concert in January, the Lumineers, concerts have become my favorite thing to shoot. But outside of the Daily I love to shoot nature/landscapes as well as travel photography.
