I came across Giles during my "tour" of the black and white group on Flickr. I was blown away with the quality of the images and the dedication to black and white images. I see imagination, commitment and above all a passion for photography. I can see from his choice of camera, subjects and treatment that he enjoys photography as well the journey of photography. His encouraging remarks are motivating me to follow in his footsteps. May he inspire generations to the delicate art of "seeing" .

You may notice that all of his artworks are 100% black and white with fabulous tonality and gradience. Lots of friends maybe consider Black and White Photography exists like a savior for them especially while the colors and tonality don’t work well. But this is not the case for Giles Johnson, he prefers to use Black and White Photography as a form to tell the story around him via his gifted eyes. His artworks of Black and White is more like a light-house for those folks lost in the sea of monochrome. His profound gallery is more than exceptional skillsets or framing the picture-perfect spots also about the feeling that motivated him triggers the shot for each precious moment. His artworks are inspiring and I am more than happy to visit his gallery as regular.
