Living in the 21st century, people have little time or desire to sit and observe their surroundings. People are using their time to commute, go to school, compete in extracurricular activities, and browse the internet. Like others, I struggle to relax and fully enjoy where I’m at or what I’m doing and observing. Therefore, I strive to mainly capture the objects, people and living creatures that mean something to me, whether trivial or significant.

To do this I focus on both the positioning of my focal point as well as my lighting to capture crisp images that help to convey a mood and develop an intriguing image. I enjoy using natural lighting the most, because it is organic and negates the look of a organized image. Natural lighting, both diffused and direct, is also very accessible and a constant no matter my physical location.

As a newly found lover of photography, I’ve yet to find my distinct style. While I continue to observe and discover new techniques, I hope to create a style that truly reflects the happiness and joy that can be found anywhere. In addition, I must include the occasional bumps in the road that everybody experiences in their lifetime. Nevertheless, life always turns back around and something positive can always be found somewhere negative!
