I am a visual artist and former wildlife veterinarian.
As a veterinarian, I was actively and passionately involved in the conservation of endangered species, including darting rhinos, moving lions, and capturing rogue elephants. During that time, I was filmed for the thirteen-episode documentary, "The Great African Wildlife Rescue" (Animal Planet). I taught at Tufts Veterinary School and in South Africa and appeared on the "Animal Face-Off" (Discovery Channel).
I earned my Master of Fine Arts at the University at Buffalo and her BFA at the Maine College of Art, in Portland, Maine. I also have a bachelor’s degree from Harvard (Mechanical Engineering) and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University, all schools in the USA.
My work is part of the permanent collection at the Stone Hill Quarry Sculpture Park and I have shown her my in upstate New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Michigan (Frederick Meijers Sculpture Garden), British Columbia, Canada and Beijing, China. I have been an Artist-In-Residence at Paul Smith’s College, Fresh! AiR Artist Residency in BC, Canada, Vermont Studio Center, and The Steel Yard in Providence, Rhode Island. Currently, I am enjoying another Artist Residency at the Steel Yard and live in Rhode Island, USA.
