I am a marine scientist who finds there is a definite lack of great open access photos - please share your work!! I am just getting started in photography, focusing on capturing those images I need to help support the translation of science to the general public. And spreading the word to students and fellow scientists about Creative Commons licenses, how to properly attribute credit, and how to recognize when an artists says "look, but don't take."
