Hi I'm Amanda! I've always believed in the power of magic. As a little girl I would often walk in the woods surrounding our house creating forts, smashing rocks,and picking plants to create spells. Now married with three children and to a husband I couldn't live without, I'm still playing with herbs and crafting with clay.

We live in a house we like to call the castle on the hill that sits next to a rose garden in Connecticut. There is nothing like living in New England with cold winters, mossy earth smelling fall, the buzzing of new life in spring, and being able to dip your toes in the ocean when summer is around. It's filled with history and spirits of years long ago. Exploring these towns, discovering secrets is a guilty pleasure of mine.

About 3 years ago I started my work with pottery. It was a calling to escape my day job and allow time for myself. Since then I'm lucky enough to have my own studio that resides in my house, so I can create on my own time. The studio was a labor of love, that my husband stood behind. He is and always will be my biggest supporter.

2017 was a trying year. On the outside I have a well paying day job, lively growing pottery business, and an amazing little family but somewhere I lost myself. Who was I? Am I doing what I want with my one life?

I needed to create my own space and discover me again. This exact moment is when Forgotten Fern online was born.
