I was a frustrated painter until I picked up a camera and realized I could make art with it.
I'm obsessed with nature and the world around me. I split my time between Toronto and SW Florida and most days you'll find me close to the water in either place.
Please don't even think about blogging my images or helping yourself to them. They are copyrighted and many are licensed to Getty Images. I'm sorry but if you fav my images and have nothing to show me in your streams, I'm going to block you.
Flickr is about sharing - not helping yourself. I look forward to meeting new friends here and hope you have the same goals.

I've meant to write a testimonial for ages now but could never find the time to sit down, gather my thoughts and write it proper. I've meant to write a testimonial for ages now but could never find the time to sit down, gather my thoughts and write it proper. There's no doubt in my mind whom to dedicate my first ever one…..it has to be you, Lynda. Where would I be on Flickr, if not for you? I still remember your very first photo which got me besotted…..it was the B&W bunch of roses which you received on Mother's Day, last year from Tom. Your words and the care in how you captured and treated that photo warmed me to no end. I would never have imagined then, that from our little comment exchanges late into the night would result in a lovely friendship which I treasure so much today. You've been my solid rock, guiding me here on Flickr, and also when I turn to you when life delivers it's little punches at me along the way. I can never say enough, but thank you so much for being so thoughtful, honest, trusting and dependable, especially throughout my recent relocation. I only wish that one day, I can return the favour and be there for you when you need it. Until then, I will continue to enjoy your beautiful photo stream, feast my eyes on your life's travels be it close to home or far, and gleefully read your interpretation of each photo in usual style of wit and insightfulness. With that, how appropriate and coincidental that Mother's day is coming up next weekend here in UK. Thanks for being my inspiration and my lighthouse. "We are the captains of our own ships sailing the sea of life, but in times of a stormy weather, you will discover true friends when they don't hesitate to be a lighthouse." ~Dodinsky

Ah dear Lynda is one of those caring Flickroos who's love of natural history shines like a beacon in the wonderful detail she always manages to capture in the viewfinder and transport us to the scene before her. Much of her work is thought provoking...check out Chapel by the Sea along with the narrative...and holds the viewers attention long after the initial wow's have passed, that's the mark of a true photographer. Have a look at her Fence Friday Set....these are just fences to the rest of us but are very tangible with a life of their own when seen through Lynda's eyes, wonderful work. Always loyal to her Contacts and has a lovely understated sense of humour. I, having been ill recently and almost leaving Flickr found her words of kindness and encouragement a tremendous boost, for that she has my heartfelt gratitude. It is my honour and very great pleasure to call her a friend and I await her latest posts eagerly. My dear friend Lynda......Bob

Lynda is so very special in so many ways. She is not only a great photographer and artist but I just love how she sees the world. It's a real treat to follow her photostream and experience her visions. She has this special way with words that makes you want to hold on to each one as she explains her descriptions of each image, her images come alive with her magical words... One could not ask for a better contact, I see her comments on so many images and she takes much time to follow the works of others leaving her magical words that makes you inspired and encouraged. She just has this gift of making one feel good... I expecially appreciate her and all the help she has given me since I joined Flickr. She even helped me with my decision of choosing the right lens for my camera. I feel so very lucky to have met her and have her as a friend! Thanks Lynda for all your help and kindness, Che

Lynda is not just my sister and friend - she is a huge inspiration to me as a photographer and artist. She has a natural eye for the magical world around her and knows exactly how to translate her vision into beautiful images. She takes her cue from flowers, interior still-life elements, the Florida beaches she loves, birds/wildlife and her travels. Then she mixes even more of her soul into the work with textures, B&W treatments and other creative processing techniques. Each photo is truly a work of art. Lynda is also a wonderful and gifted writer. If you have time, please visit her 2009-2010 swan set, as well as her recent Florida owl set, where she documents, in gorgeous photos and stories, her observations of these beautiful birds. You won't be disappointed! As a contact, Lynda is a true gem. She always makes time to visit the work of others, leaving encouraging, lovely, kind comments that are both uplifting and motivating. She will also make you laugh, on her photostream and yours! Thank-you for sharing your lovely work with us, Lynda! I always look forward to your next upload! :) xoxo
