I was born on the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains in the West of Montana, in the early part of the 1950s. Growing up in and around such raw beauty left a permanent stamp on how I see the world. I can still remember when I saw my first eagle, my first bear, and the tipi rings I saw as a young boy left by the Blackfoot Indians on the prairies of Montana.
