I am a hobbyist photographer. I love to travel and eventually this led to the desire to capture amazing sights, scenes and moments in time. I started with a cannon point and shoot and soon moved up to a D90. A few years ago (2014) I upgraded to a D600. I recently upgraded to the D750 (2018). I mainly photograph nature, landscapes, and detailed objects as well as my favorite which is capturing moments in every day life--usually interesting people doing interesting things.

I generally like to photograph people and pets and I like to capture "moments" either at home (my children), traveling, or "on the street." I take a lot of outdoor shots and am drawn to interesting scenes in nature or in architecture. I'm drawn to "forgotten" architecture, the older and more abandoned it looks the better! For "people shots" I like to catch them when they aren't looking and they do not know I'm there!

It is frequently said that 'the best camera is the one you have with you,' and these days I usually carry my D600 with a Nikon1 J5 as backup. Kind of like a pro would do with a D810 and D750 except the "I do this for fun" version lol.
