THE HILLBILLY

There was a hillbilly

People thought he was stupid and silly

Never realized his heart ache

His bones can break

Said he lacks sophistication

Doesn't have an education

They in fits of jealously

Didn't see

He knew grammar and syntax

World history

The scriptures

Learned the art of making artistic pictures

Was decent and polite

Never would act like them

Running around

Conceited and arrogant

So in the end

A few people learned

That hillbilly was their true friend.
