Hi I’m a herpetologist tragic living in subtropical north east NSW on the caldera surrounding Wollumbin (Mt Warning). By day I’m a conservation planner and ecologist specializing in the development of Indigenous Protected Areas. Most of my work is with Traditional Owners in northern Australia. Since the mid-80s I’ve also lived in the Kimberley, Darwin and Alice Springs where I spent my time variously carrying out biodiversity surveys, participatory land assessment and ethno-ecology research for CSIRO, NT Conservation Commission, CALM, ANPWS and the Central Land Council. A legacy of all this toil and travel is a fusty collection (c.3000) of substandard reptile and frog transparencies which I’ve set about scanning & posting to Flickr to pad out my meager digital offerings.
