I was given my first camera, an AGFA 110 instamatic, in my early teens and I've been taking photographs ever since. For my eighteenth birthday I was given my first SLR, a Canon AE1 and a prime lens. For several years after that on every birthday and Christmas I used my present money to add lenses and other equipment to my collection.

Over the years that collection has grown to include several SLRs, and in 2004 for a trip to New Zealand I finally took the plunge and bought my first digital camera. A few of the pictures from this trip appear in the New Zealand album.

My favourite subject is landscape photography and the natural world, but I also have an interest in military history and enjoy taking photos of historic aircraft and other military subjects.
