Wake up before the sun.

Follow the road wherever it leads. Sleep beneath the stars. Wander through forests. Climb mountains. Cross rivers. Feel the cold before dawn, the heat of the afternoon sun, the rain on your face, and the wind on the summit.

Be uncomfortable. Be exhausted. Be lost. Be amazed. Laugh. Worry. Wonder. Find your way.

Bring your camera. Chase the light. Then realize you forgot your extra battery, your spare memory cards, the right lens... or that it simply wasn't the perfect timing.

Maybe the light faded too quickly. Maybe the wind shook your camera. Maybe the image was blurry, overexposed, underexposed, or just failed to capture what your heart saw. A photographer can find countless reasons to walk away disappointed—but just as many reasons to return.

Because the mountains will still be there. The trail will still call your name. The sunrise will paint the sky differently tomorrow.

So go back. Go back again.

Every journey teaches your eyes to see a little farther, your heart to feel a little deeper, and your soul to wait a little longer for the perfect moment.
