We are a retired couple who have always liked to make stuff. These days we predominantly use CAD/CAM methods. We only use Linux as our operating system and if at all possible use FOSS. For 2D CAD we use LibreCAD. For 3D CAD we use OpenSCAD or FreeCAD. We have FDM 3D printers, a laser cutter and a small CNC milling machine.

Oh, BTW, we also like to take pictures of birds. Again we use FOSS for image editing, mainly GIMP and sometimes Darktable.
