PROFILE OF SINGER ABHIJEET DAS & SINGER NAINA DAS :

Abhijeet Das and Naina Das are prominent singers of Mumbai. Naina Das is a cute talented singer. She was born on 19th December in an Assamese family in Santacruz, Mumbai. She started her singing since she was 5 years old. She recorded her first song 'Prabhu Parmeshwar' at the age 5. Her father Abhijeet Das is a Sangeet Visharad. Her mother Neeta Das is basically not a singer. But she's deeply fond of music. So, she encourages Naina a lot for her singing along with her studies. Naina has already got many awards and certificates during her school and college life. She became the 'Melody Princess' and 'Melody Queen' in her school and college respectively. Now, it's obvious that she has become a 'Melody Star'. Apart from singing, she's always being good in studies. She learnt Hindustani Sangeet (classical music) from her father Abhijeet Das. She obtained certificates on vocal music from 'Akhil Bhartiya Gandharv Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai'. In her professional field, she has already sung many Hindi, English, Marathi, Gujarati, Assamese and Bengali songs in her audio and video album and stage shows. Although, she's getting offers to sing in bollywood movies, she's very particular to choose a song whether it's related to pure music with genuine lyrics or not. She always avoids cheap and vulgar songs. She mostly prefers to sing old movie songs. On the other hand, Abhijeet Das is a singer since he was 6 years old. He completed his school and college studies in Tezpur, Assam. Then he completed 5 years Hindustani vocal classical music from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapith, Lucknow. He belongs to an Assamese cultural family. He was awarded as the 'BEST SINGER' in college. His father Late Ghanakant Das was a gold medalist in Sanskrit language of British period. His mother Karunamoyee Das was fond of dance and music. She herself was a dance composer and a singer. That way, Abhijeet Das also has become a renowned singer of Mumbai. As his voice is suitable for the songs sung by Mohd. Rafi, he got an offer by Newstar Audio to sing various songs of old movies which are already released. Apart from Hindi songs, he sang songs in other languages also. Abhijeet Das is very fond of old melodious movie songs. He always kept himself away from singing all latest songs of nowadays. Hence, on the way of singing he had good relations with many legendary old music directors like Ravi, Rajesh Roshan, Ravindra Jain etc. Ravindra Jain preferred his melodious voice to teach two songs--one semi classical devotional song and the other was a light song for the movie 'Pyar Ki Taquat' although these music directors were mostly not giving music directions to any movies in 2010. 'Pyar Ki Taquat' could not be released ultimately. But Abhijeet Das is still keeping singing songs based on pure Indian music. It's really a great thing in the modern music world. He never preferred to earn money by singing latest songs which are not purely based on Indian music. He says, such songs always have short life. They are neither Indian melodies nor western melodies. He had a good friendship with bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna and also had good relations with Dev Anand, Pran, Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda etc. His only daughter Naina Das is also a very popular singer of Mumbai. The different songs they both have sung are finally collected and released in this album "Evergreen songs of Naina Das & Abhijeet Das". The different videos of their singing performances are already published on net. They both have already performed their melodious singing in many stage shows in Mumbai and even out of Mumbai.
