I'm chief curator emeritus at the Chicago Academy of Sciences/Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. I've had a passion for butterflies since I was a little boy, and enjoy photographing them all over the world. More recently, my entomological interests have expanded to include lots of other taxonomic groups. I'm also co-steward of Bluff Spring Fen Nature Preserve in northeastern Illinois.
