My name is Eric Haak. I am a resident of Chicago, Illinois and have been taking photographs of area fire departments since 2006. I just recently deceided to make my entire catalog available on Flickr for anyone interested in downloading and using my images for personal or department use. All images are copyrighted and commercial use is not permitted without explicit written permission. If you are a firefighter pictured or a department wishing to have a copy of an image without the watermark, please email me at eahaak@cps.edu and I will provide you with a copy. The past few years, I have also been making trips to Detroit in order to give me an opportunity to practice my on-scene photography. Any comments critical of any department or individual will be promptly deleted. These images are not being provided for anyone to be critical of those serving our communities. I believe that every firefighter is well aware of the risks of exposure while doing their job and that each chooses what to where and when based on personal preference. Also, a still image does not tell the whole story. It is a brief capture of time and one moment an individual may appear to be in violation while the very next, they were in compliance.
