A passionate hobbyist who mainly shoots Dutch land-,city- and seascapes, which I love to share with you. I shoot digital in raw-format and use editing software to enhance already existing qualities in an image. Techniques I usually use are dodging and burning, add or remove texture and some color grading. I prefer to do this locally for full control. Also I don’t mind removing small distractions in an image. Sometimes I use multiple exposures to achieve the best result, when the dynamic range is too wide for my sensor, for focus stacking or when I want to have different shutter speeds in one frame.

My intention is always to create a certain mood and to make sure the eye goes where I think it needs to be. Although this may seem like a lot of editing, I try to keep it relatively true to nature. I really enjoy being out in the landscape, and see no point in creating the most stunning conditions when they weren’t there at the time.

The longer I take photographs, the more I realise what a sucker for geometry I actually am. For me, it doesn’t get any better than finding all kind of geometric shapes in the landscape, and puzzling them together in a pleasing way. However, finding myself in some epic lighting conditions comes at a very strong second place. Thanks for visiting my stream!
