My name is Andreas Avraam, I am a photographer based in Nottingham, though originate from Aradippou, Cyprus. This page is about my personal photography and adventures I have experienced and continue to experience of Abandoned and Historical places.

I visit abandoned places to capture its neglected state and beauty. On my adventures, I have come across things from antique cars left to rot, 80s porn magazines, clothing, furniture, vintage passports and much more. When exploring, it is as though I am going back in time and I feel it is my duty to show the world what used to be of these once-thriving places where people’s memories lie and its hidden secrets, before they may be lost forever. Though most trips I do with friends and colleagues, where required I have also patrolled with the United Nations military and British military all as part of missions to visit abandoned places in heavily restricted areas.

I mainly photograph the abandonment of Cyprus, highlighting the aftermath of the 1974 war as well as how it still affects the country today.
