Willkommen in meiner Bilderwelt!

Von Beruf Mechaniker, war ich über 30 Jahre im Betriebsunterhalt tätig, jetzt im Pensionsalter.

Seit 1985 bin ich leidenschaftlicher Fotograf mit Schwerpunkt Eisenbahnfotografie. Zu Beginn war ich noch mit Film (also analog) unterwegs, ab 2004 nach kurzer Zeit nur noch mit digitalen Geräten. Ich beabsichtige, eine Auswahl von Aufnahmen meines umfangreichen Archivs allmählich auf Flickr (auf dieser Plattform) zu veröffentlichen.

Hobbys: Fotografie mit Schwerpunkt Schweizer Eisenbahnen, Metallmodellbau mit Meccano (Mitglied AMS = Amateure für Metallmodellbau in der Schweiz).

Meine Aufnahmen werden alle direkt in JPEG aufgenommen (seit 2020 auch in Rohdaten) und mit Photoshop Elements nur noch geringfügig nachbearbeitet. Analoge Aufnahmen (Negative und Diapositive) werden mit einer Digitalkamera abfotografiert und mit Photoshop Elements aufbereitet.

Der Upload erfolgt immer im Format 2048 x 1365 Pixel. Der Download dieser Bilder zu nicht kommerziellen Zwecken ist gestattet. Zugang zu Dateien in Originalgrösse erfordert schriftliche Rücksprache per e-Mail.

Welcome in my world of images!

Mechanic by profession, I was employed for over 30 years in company maintenance, now in retired age.

Since 1985, I am a passionate photographer with a focus mainly on railway photography. At the beginning I was still equipped with film (means analog), from 2004 on, after a short time, only with digital devices.

I intend to publish a selection of recordings of my extensive archive gradually on Flickr (on this platform).

My hobbies: Photography in general with focus on Swiss railway photography, metal model building with Meccano (member of AMS = amateurs for metal model building in Switzerland).

My pictures are all recorded directly in JPEG (since 2020 in RAW-files too) and with Photoshop Elements only slightly postprocessed. Analogue images (negaitives and slides) are photographed with a digital camera and processed with Photoshop Elements.

The upload always takes place in the format 2048 x 1365 pixels. The download of these images for non-commercial purposes is allowed. Access to files in original size requires written consultation by e-mail.
