:: YEAR 8 UPDATE ::

Another year gone and Day 2556 is here! As I always do when it’s time to decide on another year of the ol’ 365, I’ve been giving some thought to whether I continue, and if I do, why… When I started this project, it was about learning my camera, inside-and-out, and fully understanding the relationship between ISO | shutter speed | aperture (feeling pretty comfortable on this front). When I go back and look through the years, I find it’s a mix of things I enjoy about these images. It’s those little moments of our day-to-day life, it’s the occasional photography trips that I’m so fortunate to get to go on with my friend Dan, and sometimes it’s the nothing images that were clearly taken way too late on any random day because I want to keep this tradition going, but our very busy life got in my way that day. So, we forge ahead and keep capturing, keep using this project as an excuse to force my brain to think about something other than work, and kids, and grocery store runs, and sporting events, if even for just a few minutes each day. Thanks for stopping by and keeping an eye on things over the years!

:: YEAR 7 UPDATE ::

Day 2191 is upon me and for whatever reason, none of the hesitation about taking this one on that I did last year. If I had to venture a guess, I’d say it’s got at least something to do w/the level of insanity at work last year at this time, vs. this year. At any rate, it’s been another productive year on the photography front, but I can do better, and intend to in year 7. Thanks all, who follow along this journey with me and offer-up the occasional note or suggestion. Happy Holidays!!

:: YEAR 6 UPDATE ::

I’m a couple of months into Year 6 of my Project 365. So far, it’s going well enough. Moments of enjoyment and pleasure at having stuck with this beast of a project, with the occasional moments of vexation sprinkled in there.

I thought hard about continuing into Year 6 and decided the benefits and points that I enjoy about it, far outweigh the challenges.

So, we continue! This year, I’ve got a goal to keep up with my camera club’s assigned subject each month and in addition to that organically making its way into my Project 365, use at least one of them in our Projection Night each month, where we give/receive feedback on each other’s images.

If you made it this far, thank you 😊 I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and have a look at my images. If you do have any feedback on any of them, please don’t hesitate to share, critical or otherwise!
