Many of the early shots were taken by my father Ken Smith, who was a keen railway photograher before me and was a member of the Railway Photographic society.

I was fortunate to spend many years working as a sports photographer so always had a bag full of cameras and big lenses in the car when I was on my lunchbreaks parked by a railway!
