J Murray and Sons Construction was Founded in 1986 by John Murray. The company's primary focus at that time was on real estate development, specializing in the rehabilitation of old homes and improving underdeveloped neighborhoods in cities north of Boston such as Somerville, Chelsea, Cambridge and Medford

In 1999, James Murray took over the family business, J Murray and Sons Construction, at 114 Broadway St in Somerville. Realizing the need for well rounded remodeling contractors who could handle all facets of home and building remodeling, Jim decided to really push the contractor side of the business.

In the last few years, J Murray and Sons Construction experienced rapid growth. The company completely revamped our management team in late 2016. Our commitment to our clients is as strong as ever, and James Murray is more involved in the day to day operations to ensure every project is on track and every client gets the attention they deserve.

Today J Murray and Sons are a company of over 30 employees who still operate with that same family mentality. We now operate not only in the Greater Boston Area, but in all of Eastern Massachusetts.
