I started photography in my early teens with an Exacta and a garage darkroom. I was inspired by the B&W works of Minor White, Ed Weston among others…. Now retired, I have time to get out and shoot what’s around me. I have converted IR cameras and enjoy what the fringes of visible light can do to a composition – especially storms and landscapes in general; the works of Mitch Dobrowner and Mike Olbinski are particularly interesting. I live in Tucson, so the monsoons provide an opportunity to get some wild cloud development – but not sure if I’ll ever make it to Kansas.
