I've always been interested in photography but never really seemed to have the time or the drive to get started. I bought my first camera, a Canon PowerShot S80, in 2006 and after studying the user guide and picking the brain of my good friend John Klemme on a 12-hour flight(s) to Europe, I began my journey. That two-week holiday proved to be an amazing trek into the world of photography that produced hundreds-upon-hundreds of photos and endless tinkering with shutter speeds and aperture settings. Like most around here, I’m now hooked and have since purchased several other cameras and began to read everything I can get my hands on. I’m open to any suggestions on how to become better, so by all means leave comments if you think you can help a part-timer figure it all out.
