I am blessed to be married 25+ years and have 3 wonderful children Billy 32, Kimberly 24, and Alyson 20. Kimberly graduated NC State 2 years ago as an Electrical Engineer and has a great job doing ARC Flash Testing. Alyson is in her 2nd year studying to be a Bio-Mechanical Engineer specializing in prosthetics. My oldest son Billy is special needs and that has driven Alyson to pursue a carer in Bio-Mechanical engineering so she can help the handicapped. For me family, friends and work friends come first.
I am super passionate about anything electrical, mechanical or computer-related and spend a great deal of spare time restoring cars as well as doing astrophotography (one of the most complicated things I have ever worked on and I love it!). I also love golf, I am a 12 handicap from the blues and can break 80 a lot from the black tees. My lowest score is a 72 at StoneBridge from the blacks(5800 yds) when it all works.
I am a well seasoned multi-discipline integration specialist currently focused on Software Defined Networking(SDN) and Multi-Domain Intent-Based Networking (IBN). With 40+ years of industry experience working on everything from military microwave devices and fire control radar, components for the Space Shuttle and other space probes, the RHIC Particle Accelerator to helping organizations adopt and build Next Generation data centers I have worked on pretty much everything in technology. Vacuum Tubes to integrated circuits, 5 1/4′ floppies to 256 GB USB, and Token ring to Ethernet, and I have been fortunate to be a part of this revolution. It will be interesting to see what the next 40 years hold.
I am very much a visual person so here is a sampling of what I am passionate about in no particular order.
