Hello and thank you for visiting. I am a hobbyist who enjoys the outdoors with my favorite companions, my wife and my camera. Living on the Florida coast provides many photo opportunities, but I really don't have any specific genre that I shoot. If I see something of interest, I capture the moment.

I first took up photography as a hobby back in the early 70's, my first camera was a Pentax K1000 with a 50mm lens. I then switched to Nikon film cameras for many years. In 2012, I moved into the digital camera world.

Like many on Flickr, I have gear overload using both Nikon and Canon equipment. I’m using prime lenses much more than zooms as of late, finding primes help me work harder at my composition. I recently acquired a vintage Nikon FM2n SLR and a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 AI-S lens. I’ve been using the “Sunny 16 Rule” to set my exposure, so far so good!

For my military veteran friends, I served with the U.S. Marines Corps during the Vietnam War era. I was med evacuated out of country towards the end of my second tour and after four months in the hospital was sent back to civilian life. Semper Fi
