I'm Ian Lynas and I have been interested in buses and bus operations for over 50 years. I worked in the industry for 33 years. I was born in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England but lived my whole UK life in the north Manchester suburb of New Moston. I attended New Moston primary school, New Moston junior school then Plant Hill Comprehensive School. I migrated to Australia with my parents and sister in May 1970, arriving in Sydney in June 1970 and lived in Sydney until 1983. My first wife, Jennifer, came from Brisbane and we moved there in 1983. Jennifer passed away in 2010 after 28 years of marriage. I am now married to Catherine and now retired. I have been fortunate to travel to Europe (some of it), USA, Canada, quite a bit of Asia and to many Pacific Islands.
