I'm Marcus Rowland, a former educational laboratory technician, now retired. I'm also a writer, mainly of role playing games and supplements. As part of my scientific training in the 1970s I learned a range of scientific photography techniques, and have retained an interest ever since. Now that I'm retired I'm trying to get out with a camera much more. I've been trading in old cameras and lenses on eBay, which is why a lot of my pictures are lens tests.

Some of my pictures (taken with a Nikon D7000) may have incorrect location data - I used a GPS receiver for a small project several years ago, and the last data from it seems to have been retained by it for subsequent photos.
