Why Do I Photograph Birds?

Birds are not the easiest subject to photograph, regardless of how powerful your camera is, nor how far your lens can reach. They are very unpredictable. They don't pose based on your instructions. You can't even tell them when to spread their wings. You can't tell them when to fly. You can't tell them when to land. And most of the times, they already disappeared before you can even set your best camera settings to photograph them. Big birds are easier to photograph than smaller birds. The smaller the birds are, the shorter they stay to their place, which gives you a shorter chance to capture them. Big birds are more comfortable subjects to photograph but they don't appear to the scene more often than the smaller birds. I've realized that regardless of their sizes, colors or behaviour, they have a common thing; they FLY,... and they LAND! You just have to be focused, patient and determined. Just Shoot! If you miss, then it's fine! It gives you the way to see what's wrong and soon realize your mistakes. If you got a good shot, then you must be happy! It gives you more confidence to shoot more and be more skillful. IF YOU DON'T SHOOT, you miss the entire opportunity to capture the moments, and more importantly, your opportunity to learn more things in life.
