During my senior year in high school, I took photos of the football team for the yearbook as well as photos of surfing over the summers before and after that scholastic year. In early 1969 I enrolled in a series of classes for commercial photography for which I shot photojournalism, product, advertising, architecture, food, fashion, and portraiture. In 1975 I spent a month touring France, Spain and Portugal. I had 360 exposures of Kodachrome plus two Nikon bodies and a collection of lenses as well as my passport stolen from my car in front of the cathedral in Seville. I pretty much took no pictures at all between that event and the mid-nineties when I decided to document the look and feel of Mendocino and adjacent areas. In the past five years I’ve been doing photo editing for a good friend.

The photos I’m putting on Flickr are photos I enjoy from my old collection.
