As long as I can remember, trains have been a part of my life. I inherited my love of railroads from my dad, who did the same from my grandfather. Some of my fondest memories are of riding or watching trains with them.

My career as an engineer has been a blessing in so many ways. Not many people can claim that their vocation and avocation are one and the same. Even though the job demands working nights and weekends, I still love being behind the throttle.

While on railroad property off of the locomotive, I was adorned in compliant reflective materials and the proper PPE. Please do not attempt to create similar photos by trespassing on railroad property. It is illegal, and more importantly, dangerous. Enjoy our hobby safely.
