A painter and artist from Osaka Prefecture. In LGBT lectures and collaborations with companies, he has been involved in textile design, etc., and is active in many fields.

Cozo Cobun uses a child as a motif to express problems that modern society has. Problem includes gender identity of the artist, negative experiences in childhood, mass production and consumption, etc. Cozo started incorporating stamps as a new technique which is partly based on Japan's unique 'Hanko' culture, but at the same time, it is expressing the mass production and mass consumption of objects and information in society. Also, using mechanical characters rather than handwritten letters expresses the emptiness of the digital society.
