Satpal is an International award winning freelance nature and travel photo journalist. Satpal has won around 55 photography awards across national & international contests in India, USA, United Kingdom, Australia, France, Japan, Greece, Singapore, Russia, Malaysia etc. and his work has been featured in many esteemed publications across the globe e.g. Nature’s Best Photography- USA, Terre Sauvage- France, Palmares- France, TPOTY London- U.K., Asian Geographic- Singapore, Professional Image Maker- United Kingdom, Smithsonian- United States, National Wildlife Federation- USA, Audubon- USA TPA- Malaysia, NBP Asia- Japan and in a number of magazines, newspapers, calendars in India as Outlook, Better Photography, Hindustan Times, Saevus, Asian Photography, Sanctuary Asia, Opinion Today & BNHS are name a few of them.

 

In the year 2014 Satpal was the only Asian photographer who won the prestigious environment photography award named “Melvita Nature Images Awards” jointly organized by Terre Sauvage magazine- France & IUCN.

 

In the year 2015 he received 1st Prize in Landscape Category at Nature's Best Photography Asia Awards organized by Nature’s Best Photography Magazine, Virginia and Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, Washington DC, USA.

 

He is amongst a few in India, who have been honored with Associateship of Image Colleague Society, California, USA & Associateship of India International Photographic Council, New Delhi. He loves to teach photography to beginners & holds seminars & workshops time to time. He has been sitting in a few reputed photography contests as a jury member in India.

 

He covers a variety of subjects like wildlife, nature, travel, environmental & social issues. Satpal is a keen bird watcher, trekker, mountaineer & biker. His work generates interest & awareness among people for Mother Nature. Satpal feels deep satisfaction when he sees the changes on social & environmental issues through his images
