Photography is a beautiful way to show others creativity in one’s self and also to display the hidden characteristics that are within myself. I take pictures not just for me to display my creativity but to also inspire others to show off their interpretation of the world around them through photography. Self-interpretation of the world is important in order to show off your originality in photography, and I believe inspiration is key in order to develop one’s imagination. Photography is a wonderful tool to use when time passes us by, we can capture the memories that are always bound to be forgotten by the hands of father time. Time is of the essence when making memories, so why should time restrict us from capturing the moments that mean the most to us. Photography is a way to make every moment count and also preserve the moments that hold dear to.

In order to reflect my creativity through photography I can never take my photos with a blank mindset. In order to show others my creativity I must first brainstorm my ideas and outline how I will approach my pictures. Brainstorming and outlining how I will approach my pictures is key to having a well executed photo. Preparing for the photo and making sure the lighting and surroundings in the background will help enhance the meaning of my photo are all important. Everything in the final picture all have a meaning for being there, if it was not meant to be in the picture I will usually crop out or eliminate visual clutter within photoshop. To further my creativity it is best to outline because I can think about what principles of design, elements of art, and rules of composition I would like to incorporate within my photo in order to help the viewer use their visual literacy to find the meaning of the picture. I do not have a set setting to go to because you never know where you will be making memories.

Visual Literacy is very important in creating and photographing a photo due to it describing a story to the viewer and showing what it represents to the photographer. Just like many other photographers not all of my photos that I photograph have the same story to it. I like to take photos that symbolize a different and unique story for each because each photo was taken for a specific reason. I like to focus on all Elements of Arts and Principles of Design and incorporate them into my photo due to those rules establishing and grabbing the viewer’s eye. Each photo is unique in every way due to me capturing an instant in time and holding it forever.
