I have been messing about with cameras since about 1950. As a kid I had the usual box cameras used on family outings mostly, later I bought a Yashica D twin lens reflex. Later I bought good used equipment both SLRs and enlargers etc.. Next I created several darkrooms as I moved around for work.

I retired about 25 years ago and eventually moved on to digital photography.

I live in the 1000 Island area of Ontario, it has 4 distinct seasons. St. Lawrence River Seaway run through the whole region bring international shipping to our shore. The area is also on the migratory route of all sorts of creatures, photographic opportunities abound.

Now I am 76 years of age I have found the Flickr group and still having a blast.
