The railways have been a lifelong interest inherited from my dad, and one I’ve been able to pursue around the preserved lines of north-west England and Wales with particular vigor in the last ten years. My ‘home’ line is the East Lancs Railway, where I have been a member for most of my life, but frequent visits to Worth Valley and Llangollen take up many weekends throughout the year, interspersed with annual trips to favourite railways slightly further afield. I hope you enjoy the images of steam and diesel locomotives I have been able to capture, as these pictures are the result of many happy hours of work armed with my trusty Canon camera.
