For more than a decade I had driven past the house where they filmed the 2005 Amityville Horror movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George. I always wondered what they had done with the iconic "quarter moon" or "cats eye" windows that had been removed from the house after filming.

Recently they had an estate sale at the mansion where the movie was filmed. While at the sale I asked about the famous windows and they told me they had them stored in the 3rd floor attic. I was able to buy the windows from them!

The photos here are meant to show the windows in action during the movie, where they are now, and what they look like now. I will also be happy to chat or answer any questions people may have about the windows.

I live in the same neighborhood where the movie was filmed and we are very proud of it. I enjoyed the movie and consider it to be well done. They brought an iconic movie back and made it relevant to new generations. They helped keep the story alive.
