Hi, I'm Mick or Sherbie as some would call me. Happily retired and luvin' it. Have always enjoyed photography but only started to take it seriously a few years ago. I say 'seriously', because I do like to have fun with it too.
Take pics of anything and everything really but living just about in the centre of the UK, seaside shots are a bit tricky.
Don't really do sweeping landscape shots, not many anyway, mainly because I'm not very good at them. Same applies to 'night shots'. I enjoy playing with textures and you'll always find plenty of abstracts here. Birds in the garden, most nature inspired themes also play a big part, oh, and a bit of music too. Not too keen on and rarely take pictures of anything food related, tend to give Second Life pics a wide berth too.
AI is now becoming a part of the armoury, quite enjoying doing those.
Enthusiastic amateur just about sums me up.
So, not much more to add, enjoying every minute here on Flickr, nice to meet up with some old friends and have made some super new ones into the bargain - result !

Hi Mick, Great gallery, very interesting compostions, super use of colors and very nice artwork, keep up the good work!
I always enjoy looking at Mick's quirky and design orientated work.
Mick's Flickr stream is a Chocolate Box of Goodies to mull over, the textures and cropping of images is perfect. He allows the eye if the person viewing to wander but see enough, the important bits! The excellent quality of his images captivates me and has given me a 'heads up' on keeping images contained. Amazing phot… Read more
