Give me a hundred words, I will give you a photo!

I stopped working as a photographer in 1995 to take care of my three young boys, and I spent the best six years of my life looking after them. Photography had come to a stage where I had to make heavy investments for digital equipment so I decided to sell all my gear, Sinar, Mamiya, Nikon, Leica and all the lighting equipment in the studio and went into teaching. But of course I have never stopped being a passionate photographer, the only difference is.....Now I do it as a fulfilled amateur.

Now that I have the time, I've made a 30X40 wooden camera 👌 for silver dioxide negative that I use for cyanotype's or resin bichromate, I use digital more than film now as financially more attrractive.

I enjoy sharing my images with others and hope you do too! If so, don't hesitate to leave a comment even more so if it is constructive criticism, as I believe that we can all learn from others! Thank you all for your visits and kind comments.

Je pense que c'est bien de faire un portrait ressemblant, mais c'est mieux si l'on aperçoit l'âme!

Nous essayons avec nos modestes moyens de retenir cette instant "T", cette esquisse d'un regard furtif, ce sourire naissant, ou la pureté dans une courbe d'un corps, le moment éphémère et magique où le soleil enflamme le ciel.

My quest is to change and try new things, it keeps me on my feet to try different styles, also I find it challenging to be out of my comfort zone!

Personal thoughts on light!

The fabric of life, atmosphere, forms.......Art, everything, or nearly everything needs light to be materialized. And as a photographer we need to transpose what we see according to our imagination and personal vision of the World. The temporal image hologram of our thoughts, can be a universal language stronger than any words, hence their importance.

Our whole existence is but a whirlpool of images.

A contrario, toute créativité humaine obtenue avec persévérance et patience et aboutissement personnel, peut être considéré comme de l'art que ça soit obtenu avec un Sténopé, un iPhone, ou un appareil très cher ou pas.

Art in all it's forms becomes ordinary and mediocre when it's achieved easily and with repetition.

Conversely, any human creation obtained through perseverance, patience and personal achievement, can be considered as art whether it be performed with a mere Pinhole, iPhone or with an expensive camera or not.
