anandomoy has been one of the reasons of my taking photography with any seriousness.His constant encouragement and words of appreciation on Flickr hooked me to photography in general and Flickr in particular. He comes across as a perfect gentleman eager to communicate and having an avid interest in photography especially street and landscape genres where he excels. He does have a profound insight into the the art of taking images and has some very interesting images in his stream.Though he is now retired, his enthusiasm for taking images has not diminished nor participating in discussions associated with it. So he remains my friend,philosopher and guide in this formidable pastime. I wish him peace, enjoyment and long and healthy life.

Anandamoy Chatterji has a photo stream of great beauty. His takes of Lucknow are a refreshing experience to see this historic city in a fresh perspective with great story telling images. His technical skills are fantastic and his compositions are wonderful and he has that singular element in his photography where he lets his picture do the talking and the story telling. That is the holy grail of photography and you must see his work to witness that.
