I first found out that I loved photography as a kid at my parents wedding when I kept stealing the disposable cameras off of the tables for the guests to use and filled them all. After the camera's were produced my parents noticed that best photos from their wedding were mine as the actual photographer (who was good at his job and I am not insulting him at all) wanted very formal poses and forced smiles which was the thing at weddings whereas mine were very informal and natural and captured the guests actually enjoying themselves.
I have noticed that people are more comfortable around an informal photographer and are more likely to join in with either a more comfortable and natural formal picture or they will strike a pose that you might not think of and it could possibly be a truly fantastic unique photo.
Life didn't allow me to start following my passion until a few years back and I had the chance to buy my first decent camera but my love of technology won and I went with the best of both worlds and bought a DJI PHANTOM 3 Professional quadcopter. I had started to build a portfolio and save for my drone licence until the law changed and you couldn't build a portfolio until you had a licence and seeing that it's a week long course quite a distance from where I live it wasn't just the cost of the licence it's the week off of work, hotel costs and food costs that has put it on hold and made me buy my first DSLR camera.
I am just a amateur photographer who likes to take the kids out for walks and I photograph everything and use my family and friends as the subjects. I have been told to go professional and one day that is my plan but until then I am enjoying building a selection of photos from different places and the kids enjoy the more often then not last minute trips out and about.
Now after friends and family seeing my pictures I have been asked to take photos for various reasons and has led me with you support from unexpected places to start moving towards photography as a business which I am very excited about and am working hard to get everything up and running. I do have a website being built and a Facebook page being put together.
