My photography story started back in 2010 with a humble Samsung ES80 point-and-shoot. Things took a magical turn when a wonderful woman I met through my blog gifted me my first DSLR—a Canon EOS Rebel XT. From there, I moved on to a Canon Superzoom, and I've recently upgraded to the Canon EOS R100 mirrorless system.
To truly master my gear, I've just started a basic photography night class while simultaneously diving headfirst into learning Lightroom.
Current Chapter: Vanlife & Exploration 🚐💨I recently bought a fully self-contained van to solo travel and capture the raw beauty of New Zealand. Currently based in sunny Napier, I am preparing for a massive move to the rugged West Coast of the South Island at the end of the year.
My other hobbies include Greenstone carving, macrame, 3d designing and printing, digital art, the gym, travel, and reading.
I do a little of everything for a living, I am a pastry chef by trade, cake decorator and potter. I almost forgot I'm a pottery tutor as well.
This space is where I will be sharing my progress, class projects, Lightroom experiments, and roadside discoveries. I love connecting with fellow travelers and photographers, so please feel free to leave a comment or some constructive feedback!
