I like taking photos of people and places we visit, including parks and gardens (and the trees and flowers there).
I'm currently using a Fujifilm X-T3 camera (and an X-T2 camera as well), and have been trying out my old Canon lenses with the X-T2 (with the Fringer EF-FX Pro II adapter).
My favourite Fujifilm film simulation is Astia, as I think the colour is fabulous and the most realistic. I've now stopped taking RAW images and just take JPG ones (and tweak the shadows slightly if necessary in Photoshop Elements) ... a huge time-saver. So I expose for the highlights, and then tweak any shadows in Photoshop Elements. I usually use Back Button Focussing and the 2 second timer delay when taking photos (except when I wish to snap something at high speed).
If you'd like to have a go at using BBF with a Fujifilm camera, I recommend you watch this brilliant YouTube video ... www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDc48aEtiq4
I also use my iPhone 12 from time to time, together with the ProCam App with its 3 second timer.
For B&W photos, I either set my Fujifilm camera to the Acros + Yellow film simulation, or convert a colour photo to B&W using Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 (linked to Photoshop Elements).
Views of all my photos now total 3.8 million.
Cheers, Joel
